Benefit Experts
Clarity before the deadline

Give employees more than a packet of plan documents.

Employees bring different questions to enrollment. One wants to keep a doctor, another is comparing family coverage, and someone else is choosing benefits for the first time. A useful education program makes room for those differences.

Benefit Experts helps Washington employers explain available coverage in plain language. We connect the plan details with employee costs, employer contributions, deadlines, and where to get help—so your HR team does not have to answer every question alone.

Meet your team where they are

Choose a format that fits the workforce.

On-site group meetings

Bring employees together for an overview of available benefits, renewal changes, and enrollment steps. We coordinate timing with you and discuss additional sessions when shifts need separate coverage.

Private employee consultations

Offer a one-on-one setting for questions about family coverage, plan differences, or completing elections. Employees can discuss personal concerns without raising them in a group.

Live virtual sessions

Give remote employees and teams at multiple locations a way to hear the explanation and ask questions. Agree on the format and schedule before enrollment begins.

What employees learn

From understanding the terms to making an election.

How the coverage works

Explain premiums, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums using the actual plans your company offers. Show employees where to check provider networks, prescription coverage, and official plan documents.

What comes out of the paycheck

Review employee contributions and the employer contribution so the total package is easier to understand. Discuss available medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary options without assuming every employee needs the same elections.

How accounts fit the package

Introduce any HSA, FSA, or HRA offered with the program, including where to find eligibility, funding, and use rules. Explore pre-tax account support.

How to finish enrollment

Walk through access to Employee Navigator, dependent information, available elections, waivers, and confirmation steps. Explain the deadline and who to contact if something does not look right. See our enrollment process and platform videos.

A practical education plan

Prepare, explain, and follow through.

STEP 01

Set the priorities

Review your plans, changes, employee locations, and enrollment dates. Identify the questions your team asks most often.

STEP 02

Coordinate the sessions

Choose group, individual, or virtual formats and agree on invitations, reminders, and materials.

STEP 03

Explain the choices

Present the benefits, show how to enroll, and give employees a clear path for follow-up questions.

STEP 04

Support the next step

Help employees navigate outstanding questions and enrollment tasks, with carrier or administrator follow-up where needed.

Not just once a year

Make room for new hires and year-round questions.

Open enrollment and new hires

Provide a structured overview when plans renew and a benefits consultation when new employees become eligible. Confirm the applicable enrollment window and steps with each group.

Help after elections are complete

Employees can ask about ID cards, finding plan information, claims questions, and where to report life changes. Coverage decisions remain subject to plan terms and carrier or administrator review.

Planning employee education

Can we combine group meetings with individual appointments?

Yes. A group overview can cover common information, with individual follow-up for employees who need more time or have personal questions. We coordinate the approach with your team.

How long should we allow for a session?

The right amount of time depends on the number of plans, the changes being introduced, and the questions employees bring. We agree on the schedule in advance rather than using a fixed presentation length for every employer.

Will employees learn how to use Employee Navigator?

Yes. Education can include accessing the platform, reviewing available choices, entering dependent information, and checking that elections are complete.

Does education replace the plan documents?

No. Meetings and consultations help employees understand the information. Official plan documents govern benefits, exclusions, eligibility, and claim decisions. We help employees locate the appropriate documents and contacts.

What information should employees share in a group meeting?

Keep group questions general. Personal health details, identification numbers, and other sensitive information should not be shared in a group meeting or public chat. Ask us about an appropriate private follow-up channel.

Plan the next benefits conversation.

Tell us about your team, your locations, and your next enrollment. We will help you choose an education approach that fits.
