Benefit Experts

Who we serve / Technology & engineering

Benefits for the team you have, wherever they work.

Benefit Experts helps Washington employers turn workforce needs into a benefits plan. Remote hires, project teams, founders, and growing families can change what a benefits package needs to do. Compare access and total costs without assuming one plan fits every employee.

Start with these three decisions.

Share employee locations, anticipated hires, current coverage, and your benefit priorities.

01

Remote access

Check providers near each employee’s home, including outside Washington.

02

Plan choices

Show premiums, cost sharing, and employer contributions together.

03

Founders and contractors

Resolve owner and worker eligibility before enrollment.

Check each new location

A national brand does not guarantee a national network for every plan. Confirm the exact product, service area, routine care options, and telehealth access where employees will be located. Revisit the comparison when the team expands into another state.

Compare funding and accounts on their terms

Age or job title does not establish that level funding or an HSA plan is the right fit. Compare contract risk, administration, employee costs, and applicable HSA contribution rules. A higher deductible can change cash-flow needs even when a premium is lower.

A practical example · illustrative

The first hire outside Washington

Before enrollment, confirm whether the proposed plan serves the employee’s home location and how routine visits and prescriptions work there.

Coverage to compare

Availability, eligibility, and benefits depend on the proposed plan and its current terms.

Medical networks
Evaluate local and out-of-state provider access for the actual team.
HSA-compatible options and other accounts
Explain employer contributions and account rules alongside the plan comparison.
Dental, vision, life, and disability
Include dependent choices and covered earnings definitions for variable compensation.

From comparison to enrollment

We help connect the benefits decision with the people using and managing the plan.

  1. 01 / PLAN

    Map the needs

Share employee locations, anticipated hires, current coverage, and your benefit priorities.

  2. 02 / COMPARE

    Review the tradeoffs

Compare actual plan costs, access, contributions, and the questions payroll or specialist advisers need to resolve.

  3. 03 / SUPPORT

    Help the team enroll

We provide group, individual, and live virtual education, including shifts, multiple visits, new hires, and support after enrollment with the session scope confirmed before enrollment for client teams.

Before you get started

Does equity ownership make someone eligible?

Ownership alone does not resolve employment status or plan eligibility. Review the actual relationship, entity structure, and plan rules with the appropriate advisers.

What administration is included?

Employee Navigator is available and customized at no extra cost for group clients who want it. Benefit Experts trains company administrators to enter new hires and terminations; Benefit Experts handles carrier changes. We coordinate third-party COBRA administrators that send and track notices. Vendor fees may apply, with waivers for some groups based on size and benefits package.
